Artist's Comments

Cynical, yes. And to feel foolish, having misplaced trust.

Suggestion: Full view.
A submission for the Chi Chi Mafia. The topic this month is: Portrait.

Thanks to *n05feratu and ~tinder for their stock accounts, ~stock-feratu resp. ~tinderstock. I used a photo from each account.

Very interesting. I always marvel at the detail you exact from you compositions-and the symbology. Definately not the take a look and move on type of pic! I'm seeing that this person has themselves the key to open their sight, but doesn't because their lack of vision prevents them from seeing the key-maybe a bit too direct an interpretation. I'm trying to figure out the significance of the stone/tree. I keep going back and forth on what it is. I think this is the first DA pic I've saved so I can come back to it later! Great job, my friend. Giggle

I guess I will comment in spite of my bad screen. It's a good image, but it feels a little like a collage. The hand, the heart and the eye are just ghost-images displayed on the stone and tree... I prefer mending in front of collaging. Complete images in front of... well... collaging. ;) (Wink) I kind of said the same thing about something you made which looked like it had a background of copperplaque...

I really like the concept. I like the keyhole in the heart, it looks really good, and I like the key holding part, though I do not get a clear image about who is the keyholder. Neither do I understand what the eye is doing there.

I think I get the point of this, though perhaps not quite the background. Also my comment is affected by my current surroundings, and might have been different if I were at home, by my stationary computer.

An idea springs that perhaps a cage of some sort should have been made... perhaps a cage of wood and stone, or a cage of human flesh, and a lock and so on... I don't quite know. Reminds me of something I painted a while back... very well. Like it though, as I most often do when it comes to things you do... ;) (Wink)

"No," said the cat. "Now, you people have names. That's because you don't know who you are. We know who we are, so we don't need names."

At the end!!

I think I got the idea!! w00t!

You think you are a fool 'cause you r giving the key of your hearth to someone else...

I like the hand and the hearth, but the eye looks weird in that space...

Cya!!

I like how this came out. Has a nice harsh texture and the placement is awesome. Great work. Oh and I love the color as well.
:iconbanxter:
Wow, great work, I love it. Love the colors, and the tones.
Really makes for a great artwork :) (Smile)

Offering up the key to your heart is often a dangerous proposition. Once someone is past that lock, they are free to do with its breakable contents as they please.

Excellent manipulation. I really like to concept of the piece as well as the skilled artistry behind it. The texturing is very well done and you have blended all the elements together nicely. :D (Big Grin)

I'm leaving another comment for you to get annoyed about:
It's very late, and this img is mocking me. *glare at the manip*
:iconzaare:
Well, that image must be quite rude. How is it mocking you?
